This position is located in Adult Services under the Care Center Family Violence Program.
Potential for Telework/Remote options may be considered based on training, quality assurance, performance, and/or business needs.
The primary duty of this position(s) is to provide clerical support for the Care Center Family Violence Program. Position(s) responsibilities include but are not limited to
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Â Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: The selected applicant will be subject to the following conditions prior to appointment. Failure to complete or fulfill these conditions may result in dismissal.
Each applicant who is tendered an offer for employment for any position with Cumberland County shall be tested for the use of drugs specified in the County policy. Refusal to submit to testing or a confirmed positive test shall be a basis for withdrawal of the conditional employment offer. Law enforcement background check is required. Has or is able to obtain a valid North Carolina Drivers License. This position will require assisting in emergency and/or disaster situations.
The Cumberland County Department of Social Services has a dress code policy that must be adhered to. This policy includes specific guidelines related to tattoos and body piercing.

- Â Â Â creating case records
- Â Â Â scheduling appointments for three counselors and one victim advocate
- Â Â Â utilizing Microsoft Outlook email and calendar
- Â Â Â customer tracking
- Â Â Â scanning documents Â
- Â Â Â maintaining workroom areas
- Â Â Â distributing mail
- Â Â Â ordering and distributing supplies
- Â Â Â copying and filing documentation
- Â Â Â maintaining and performing minor repairs on copiers
- Â Â Â maintaining excel spreadsheets
- Â Â Â and interacting effectively with the public
