The Specialty Court Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of one or more of Cumberland County’s specialty courts : Overdose Intervention Court, Together Optimizing Mental Health Solutions (TOMS) Court, or Treatment Court.
The coordinator oversees the activity of the team, conducts quality assurance of each team member, maintains client data, remains informed regarding budgetary concerns of the assigned court(s) and coordinates services from each discipline, and the local community, in a manner that is most therapeutic to the specialty court participant.

Work Hours : This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2-week pay period

Essential Job Functions :
Management Coordination and Data Entry : Monitor participants' progress through the treatment program.Provide leadership and direction to the specialty court team, ensuring that all members are aligned with the program’s goals and objectives.
Oversee the daily operations of the specialty court program, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.Input participant information into relevant databases such as PAJCIS / DCCM.
Ensure all participant data is accurate and up to date.Manage and update application lists and status tracking in shared drives.
Collaboration and Communication : Participate in weekly specialty court team meetings to discuss participant progress and treatment strategies.
Act as a liaison between the court, attorneys, probation officers, treatment providers, and other relevant agencies.Maintain detailed records of participant interactions, treatment plans, progress reports, and any changes in their status.
Prepare and distribute weekly staffing agendas for team meetings.
Evaluation and Reporting : Track and report on key outcomes for program participants, including compliance rates, recidivism, and overall progress.
Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the specialty court program and suggest improvements based on data and participant feedback.
- Administrative Responsibilities : Document participants' enrollment in the program and manage hearing dockets.Manage files for each participant, ensuring all relevant documents are included and tracked.
- Court Hearings and Reinforcement : Attend and participate in all court hearings, providing updates on participants' progress.
Work with the team to determine appropriate incentives, sanctions, and service adjustments in response to participants’ behaviors.
- Program Development and Implementation : Work with Criminal Justice Services Director to implement new initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the specialty court program.
- Training and Development : Train new team members and provide ongoing support and resources.Attend relevant conferences and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and program developments.
Coordinate with external organizations for training and educational opportunities.
- Discharge Processes : Manage the commencement process, including scheduling, preparation of documents, and coordination of ceremonies.
- Miscellaneous Administrative Duties : Respond to inquiries from other counties and stakeholders about the specialty court program.
Give presentations to community stakeholders and obtain necessary permissions for external engagements.
- Correct and verify data for annual reports in coordination with the AOPC.
- Work with Grant Administration to find possible grant opportunities for specialty courts.
Minimum Requirements to Perform Work :
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in human services, business administration, public administration, criminal justice, or other related fields.
Work Experience :
Two years of progressively responsible related experience in any of these fields OR any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the jobs
Experience should include project or program management and / or experience in the capacity of addictions, human / family services, health services, public safety, law enforcement, corrections, or court management.
