EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Oversees and manages the adult services department and all corresponding services, staff and programs while enforcing the rules governing the use of the libraryHires, supervises, trains, evaluates, and schedules staffPerforms and ensures excellent customer service for complex reference, reader’s advisory and information and technology questionsPrepares and presents programs, trainings and classes for all age groups to include one-on-one and group audiences such as classes on computer skills, library resources and databasesOversees, coordinates, and participates in collection managementAssigns duties to staff for inventory of collection, weeding outdated/worn items, and recommending replacement materialsAs necessary, supervises staff and operations in the absence of the Branch Manager; Acts as designated Team Lead on a regular basisParticipates in publicity and marketing of library resources and events. Performs outreach to community groups and organizations
