- Provides essential secretarial and administrative support to department leadership, including drafting correspondence and preparing reports. Manages incoming calls and emails by providing general information and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, offering assistance and information. May be required to assess, interpret, and respond to unique situations that necessitate policy exceptions. Oversees the department's mail function, ensuring timely receipt and distribution.
- Manages scale house operations and oversees the training of weighmasters. Performs all Weighmaster duties, including accurately weighing and identifying incoming loads, processing cash and credit card payments, reconciling daily transactions, and preparing deposits in accordance with department and county policies. Responsible for inputting new accounts/vehicles and approving correction tickets as necessary.
- Assists with financial operations, including accounting, billing, processing receipts and deposits, and maintaining budgetary controls. Supports inventory management and procurement by processing invoices and purchase orders through the Munis Financial system. Aids in tracking employee time and leave records, ensuring accurate entries and maintaining timesheet documentation.
Necessary additional requirements:
Successful completion of Keyboarding, Customer Service, Basic Word and Basic Excel tests will be required. Candidates selected as qualified will be contacted via email by a Human Resource representative for testing.
