As part of the Recreation Therapy team, the Lifeguard position:
Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams. We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.

Qualifications:As part of the Recreation Therapy team, the Lifeguard position:
- Provides continuous patient care monitoring, supervision, interaction of patients while participating in swimming activities, intervening as needed.
- Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the pool and pool area, reporting any safety concerns to the nursing supervisor
- Performs well under stress and emergency situations
- Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Requires excellent communication and observation skills
- Certification is required
