Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Technician to join our team at Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board. This is a part-time position, working up to 29 hours per week.
About the Position
This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with individuals who have intellectual disabilities. As a Residential Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to residents in our group home settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise residents in daily activities and provide personal care assistance as needed.
- Coordinate daily schedules and duties/activities of residents.
- Maintain accurate and current program records.
- Prepare meals and maintain a clean living environment.
- Transport residents to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other scheduled events.
- Complete reports as requested by supervisors.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to understand the special training needs of intellectually disabled individuals.
- The ability to successfully complete training in medication administration, CPR, first aid, and behavioral intervention.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
