What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Director position at Cumberland Valley National Bank?
SUMMARY
The Training Director will design, maintain, and implement a bank-wide learning and development program. The training program will include but is not limited to customer service, compliance, product knowledge and sales culture training for employees. Collaborate with internal managers and external entities for administrating the training program. Develop an on-boarding program for new employees, to include the bank’s bio, employee policies, product, sales, and job knowledge.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and oversee learning and development programs, including a sales culture to achieve the bank’s strategic goals.
· Develop a comprehensive onboarding training program for new employees.
· Works with managers, auditors, and external partners to determine, develop and conduct annual regulatory training programs.
· Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning.
· Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
· Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of orientation, and skills training for employees.
· Develop unique training programs to fulfill employee specific needs to maintain or improve job skills, product knowledge and enhance customer service.
· Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
· Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
· Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
· Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
· Prepare and implement training budget; maintain records and reports of expenses.
· Maintain an archive record of training documentation.
· Prepare reports on training activities and present at committee meetings.
· Serve as coordinator for instructor led training sessions of employees.
· Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development. Participate in continued education of training and development techniques and coaching.
· Perform other related duties as required.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
· Three years’ work experience at a bank.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong presentation and leadership skills.
· Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
· Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
· Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
· Work experience as a Training Director, Training Manager, or similar role.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Potential supervision may be required. If required, fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED, one to three months related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Create letters and memos for internal and external use. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to effectively use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to think outside of the box to resolve issues with accounting or how to improve job responsibilities.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must have clerical skills and knowledge to use a computer terminal and software programs to complete assigned work.
