What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at CUMBERLAND VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT?
The Cumberland Valley School District, a leader in public education in Pennsylvania, seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Maintenance Supervisor. The primary function of this position is to ensure proper operation of all District buildings, emergency mechanical systems and vehicles/equipment.
Candidates should possess an understanding of building systems which includes Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Carpentry, and/or Grounds. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee a crew performing building trades
- Operate within District fiscal parameters
- Develop maintenance programs to meet District standards
- Coordinate work with contractors and ensure quality control standards are met
- Attend continuing education to maintain current knowledge of building systems
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a High School diploma.
- 5 or more years of practical experience in a specific trade
- 5 years supervisory experience
Candidates should also be able to manage a complex department with changing service demands and exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks and directing staff.
