SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and coordinates daily operations of the engineering/maintenance departments and staff; maintains all equipment, buildings, and property in proper condition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems;managing schedules and workflow.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures.
· Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
· Responsible for cross-communication between shifts.
· Maintains property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through the development and implementation of a preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.
· Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests.
· Monitors and maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
· Supervises and assists staff in maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property as needed.
· Responsible for the site’s validation program
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Supervisory/ management in a production facility: 1 year (Required)
· Leadership: 2year (Required)
· Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
· Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
· Two or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support the operations
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Effective communication/presentation skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions, and decimals.
· Working knowledge and experience using general office software.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills
· Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to take decisive action
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.
· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
· Able to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings for troubleshooting
· 1-2 years experience in facilities management and familiarity with required warehouse machinery.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures.
