In the role of Space Planner, you will support clients with various space and workplace tasks related to occupancy, business needs and relocation. The role includes heavy interaction with business leads about space needs, utilization and challenges. The Space Planner wears many hats, data analyzer, problem solver, move manager, service provider, and more. Space Planners rely on their ability to work visually with floor plans and drawings, to analyze and understand complex utilization data, and to communicate with clients, teammates, leadership, and partners. Successful candidates approach complexity with confidence and calmness with effortless client communications.
We are currently looking for candidates with space planning experience to support clients within the Greater Boston market. In this client facing role, you will be working directly with clients to execute their space occupancy strategy, directly impacting the function and experience of their dynamic spaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain space planning and occupancy databases for assigned client sites (CAD, Seating, Stacking, etc.).
Conduct routine walk-throughs and audits of all spaces for conformance with client occupancy requirements and submitting tickets for any required actions.
Perform routine system updates for new hire adds, space reassignment changes, and terminations.
Work closely with clients to implement space planning and occupancy strategies.
Support periodic reporting for all space changes for assigned client sites.
Foster critical relationships between various individuals with clients and vendors.
Furniture planning and management.
Develop space plans and project plans for non-permitted space modifications.
Execute non-permitted space modifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, engineering or related field.
3 years of relevant experience in occupancy planning, space planning, furniture planning/management, move/project management or related field.
A working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends such as the mobile or collaborative workplace.
Demonstrated understanding of executing projects within occupied spaces.
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
