Overview
The Purchasing Administrator is a full-time exempt position. The individual will perform purchasing of goods and supplies to support corporate operations and program requirements. The individual will evaluate and select suppliers for goods and services in accordance with corporate quality standards and processes. The individual will report to the Director of Contracts.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute the purchase of goods and services per company policies and procedures and government regulations
- Review purchase requests for proper authorization and compliance
- Source and manage orders through to successful completion, providing updates to purchase requestors
- Interface with vendors and suppliers regarding purchasing transactions, negotiations, and issue resolution
- Interface with other departments (Engineering, Contracts, Quality and Receiving) during the different phases of the purchasing process
- Document procurement packages in accordance with corporate quality standards and government-approved purchasing system standards
- Manage and maintain the Purchasing and Property Control databases
- Support the annual supplier evaluation process
- Support other areas of Contracts as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
