Administrative/Management Functions
- Will be an active participant in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures for the operation of the Medical Services and other clinical services as appropriate.
- Will plan, prioritize, assign, direct and manage the clinical work within Medical Services.
- Will participate in the development of strategic planning and budget preparation as it pertains to the Medical Services Department for the organization.
- Will be knowledgeable of accreditation standards and third party payer rules and regulations.
- Will be knowledgeable of clinical practices for medical and nursing care and provide guidance to organization regarding these matters.
- Will review and audit the documentation and billing practices of medical staff for compliance to regulatory guidelines and clinical goals outlined by the organization and by various state and national regulatory agencies. These findings shall be reported to Medical Director, medical staff, and various administrative committees as appropriate within the organization.
- Will facilitate performance improvement activities within the organization.
- Will work with individuals, their family members, or their guardians and all staff to resolve complaints or concerns that might arise in course of an individual's treatment.
- Will develop, oversee, and assist the medical staff in providing health screenings and educational programming to individuals, their families, or their guardians to promote health and well-being.
- In conjunction with the Medical Director, will participate in the performance reviews of medical staff and interventions related to these reviews.
- Will assist and provide general clerical support, i.e., typing, copying, faxing, word processing, emailing, etc. for Medical Services.
- Will assist with scheduling internal meetings for Medical Director and the medical staff as necessary.
- Will maintain departmental supplies and order resource materials, as requested.
- Will facilitate the attendance at local, state, and national meetings for medical staff.
- Will oversee and coordinate the schedules, clinical site assignments, time off of medical staff and the distribution of this information to the organization.
- Received a B.A. or B.S. Healthcare Administration, Business, or relevant field
- Preferred two (2) years experience as a office manager in outpatient or an inpatient setting
- Education and experience in Human Services, Healthcare administration or related degree.
