We are looking for a talented Cash Applications Associate – Level III

to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins Inc. facility in Nashville, TN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Ensuring Accurate Payment Application : By working with internal and external customers, you'll ensure that payments are applied correctly to customer accounts, reducing errors and improving financial accuracy.
• Conducting Payment Analysis : Performing basic analysis of payments will help identify discrepancies and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Managing Cash Applications : Preparing and entering cash applications into the sub ledger will maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
• Collaborating with Customers : Your interactions with customers to ensure correct payment applications will enhance customer satisfaction and trust.
• Analyzing Accounts : Preparing analysis of less complex accounts will support financial decision-making and provide insights into account statuses.
• Coordinating with Banks : Ensuring that remittance details from banks are sufficient to process receipts will streamline the cash application process.
• Supporting Month-End Reporting : Assisting in the preparation of month-end reports will contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Driving Process Improvements : By suggesting and participating in projects related to Cash Application improvement, you'll help enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

Excell skills to include basic understanding of formulas, and some macro understanding of structure

Microsoft Office knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Oracle software knowledge needed, especially downloads and uploads

Some overtime possible at month end

Good/Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers

May be assigned special project work as needed
