Job Description:
This role works under the direct supervision of the Director of Patient Accounting and is responsible for the oversight of the Cash Posting Team, Error Corrections Team and Park Pharmacy AR staff. Duties include direct personnel management of the team, participating in all cash application, ECT, and Park functions including policies and procedure development and compliance associated with cash applications, running daily reports, performing team audits and ongoing training of the team.
Responsibilities:
Daily oversight of team posting responsibilities and distribution of lock boxes and other receipts for posting and reconciliation.
Daily review of insurance explanation-of-benefits to assure proper payment allocation and identify potential payment discrepancies for follow-up through the Managed Care or Collection Teams.
Maintain daily ledgers of deposits received balancing Pet, Park, Rad, and Medical Oncology accounts.
Coordination with front office operations of cash receipts from clinics.
Development of policies and procedures as related to cash applications, ECT and Park Processes.
Work with individual team members to assure complete understanding of job duties including monthly audit of work.
Develop training materials for cash posting team.
Work with other Managers to assure operational efficiencies achieved where areas of responsibility are concerned with other teams in the department and throughout the company.
Work with Front Office and PACS teams to assure patient information and insurance policy information is updated timely for proper cash applications and error corrections.
Monitor workload and approve overtime only as necessary. Maintain current work queues and payments assisting as necessary.
Answer questions and troubleshoot accounts that are difficult to decipher. Oversight of ECT requires a complete understanding of all system functions and overall knowledge of all aspects of the business office.
Prepare monthly reports of team activity for Director of Patient Accounting.
Assist with special reports or projects as assigned by Director of Patient Accounting.
Prepare bi-monthly payroll records and maintain employee attendance/audits for HR payroll processing.
Attend meetings to keep abreast of the latest Oncology trends including new drug meetings, payer conferences, etc.
Responsible for quarterly Performance Excellence reviews and counseling and/or disciplinary process with all staff.
Reviews weekly requests of time off and coordinates coverage for open positions or covers positions in the event of necessity.
Manage employee activity such as hiring, job performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required.
Working knowledge of the Pharmacy system.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of five years healthcare management experience; preferably with Oncology/Hematology knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare related experience preferred.
Excellent management and leadership experience required.
Hands-on knowledge of both the front office and business office in a healthcare setting.
Prior working experience or knowledge within a physician practice business/billing office is required.
Essential Competencies:
Attendance is an essential job function.
Basic understanding of oncology practice management is required for this position, specifically in-depth understanding of insurance EOBs, CPT, ICD & HCPCS coding.
Knowledge of third-party payer regulations
Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals with various degrees of training and education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public.
High level of customer service ethic with courteous demeanor and the ability to process patient and public inquiries, including complaints, and respond with poise and efficiency.

Knowledge of clinic office procedures, medical practice and medical terminology.

Analytical. Must understand accounting principles and be able to balance all TnOnc Companies monthly is a timely fashion.
