DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Production Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in North Charleston, SC.

Job Summary:

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe work environment.
  • Report Incidents: Promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will contribute to a proactive safety culture.
  • Compliance: Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that all safety and environmental guidelines are met.
  • Use PPE: Consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment will protect you and your colleagues from potential hazards.
  • Promote Team Safety: By looking out for one another and promoting interdependence, you’ll foster a supportive and safe workplace.
  • Environmental Awareness: Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will support sustainability efforts.
  • Quality Control: Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures will help maintain high product standards and reduce costs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in training and development, and engaging in ways to improve quality, safety, and processes will drive overall team and organizational success.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous CNC/machining experience highly valued but not required.
  • Manufacturing/assembly/disassembly experience highly valued but not required.
  • Technician experience (maintenance, engineering, controls, etc…) highly valued but not required.
  • Veterans are highly valued and encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with measurements (calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, etc…) highly valued but not required.
  • Previous experience in a quality department highly valued but not required.
  • Someone who can display good attention to detail is highly valued.
