Position Overview

CUMULUS MEDIA | Centennial, CO, the nation’s leading broadcast network, has an open opportunity in our Westwood One Centennial Technical Operations Center for a Network Operations Technician. The position includes technical training for the right candidate.

The Network Operations Technician monitors broadcast networks to ensure that all systems maintain maximum reliability and providing 1st tier technical support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Ingest of content via satellite, Internet, WAN, and similar technologies
• Audio routing and transmission via multi-channel broadcast systems
• Constant monitoring, resolution and documentation of any network issues
• Provide technical support to production facilities and commercial radio stations on a variety of technical platforms
• Escalate issues as needed to 2nd tier technical staff
• Problem resolution and escalation with established trouble ticketing system
• Able to work in a 24x7/365 environment
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Acute attention to detail
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Foundation in networking knowledge/understanding with ability to troubleshoot effectively
• Following steps/procedures during emergency situations
• Ability to organize, prioritize issues and multitask
• Ability to convey accurate, detailed information verbally or in written form
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills; verbal and written
• Able to work and resolve problems independently with little supervision
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience
• Min 2 years of IT and Customer Service experience preferred. Broadcast IT experience is a plus
  
  

Pay Range

USD $46,680.00 - USD $58,350.00 /Yr.
