Health Educator

We are an innovative wellness service provider headquartered in Chicago that provides outcomes-driven health and wellbeing programs to single employer groups, third party administrators, medical management providers and associations.

We seek a Health Educator for onsite in person work providing a broad range of health coaching services to our client’s members. The ideal candidate lives within an approximate 1-hour radius of Beeville, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities

Onsite Health Education

• Develop tailored one-on-one health coaching to individuals around their stated health goals in person
• Provide onsite wellness classes, group sessions, cooking demos, and health fairs, as necessary
• Partner with members to co-create action plans and SMART goals to meet their health needs, monitoring and providing accountability to progress in achieving their goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all coaching encounters through Marquee Health technology
• Conduct regular outreach to drive engagement, including follow-up calls to discuss health, assessment results, and participation in biometric screening events, employee health fairs, lunch and learns, and monthly webinars as needed

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Develop strong working relationships and communication with stakeholders (the client and partner)
• Collaborate with those stakeholders to develop a plan to promote participation in onsite coaching and other well-being events and campaigns
• Send out regular surveys to track and measure coaching and wellbeing event effectiveness, identify any program gaps, and align with client goals

Other

• Additional functions and responsibilities, as necessary

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Trained in coaching competencies, theories, and methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field (master’s degree preferred)
• NBC-HWC required
• Must have experience with clinical health education, weight loss management, nutrition, tobacco cessation, stress management, physical activity, etc.
• Must have a great understanding of various biometric results including and not limited to blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BF/BMI, etc.
• Experience speaking in front of live and remote audiences for an extended period
• Experience in planning, developing, and designing health education presentations and programs
• Ability to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Ability to speak, demonstrate, and operate remote viewing technology simultaneously
• Required language proficiency: Must have primary fluency/bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. The Health Educator role requires the ability to read, write, and speak both languages interchangeably to develop member goals, conduct public presentations, and hold one-to-one health coaching sessions in either language

Compensation

This position is an hourly PRN role.
