What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Pharmacist position at Curative HR LLC?
Curative Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist who has experience with specialty pharmacy to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with and optimizing our specialty pharmacy operations while also assisting with day-to-day pharmacy tasks. While we continue to grow our specialty pharmacy there will be ample opportunity to support our regular pharmacy activities, providing a well-rounded experience and allowing you to contribute across multiple areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Team: Work closely with other pharmacy team members to optimize specialty pharmacy processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Manufacturer Liaison: Proactively reach out to pharmaceutical manufacturers to help secure access to specialty medications, ensuring that our patients receive timely and adequate treatment.
- Patient Follow-up: Conduct regular follow-ups with patients on specialty medications to ensure proper medication adherence, answer questions, and address any issues that may arise.
- Specialty Pharmacy Support: Assist with all aspects of specialty pharmacy operations, including but not limited to patient intake, medication dispensing, insurance verification, and medication therapy management.
- Day-to-Day Pharmacy Tasks: Provide support in daily pharmacy operations as needed, including filling prescriptions, medication counseling, and working with the pharmacy team to maintain inventory and assist customers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty pharmacy.
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy workflows and practices.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with other pharmacy staff and external stakeholders, including manufacturers and healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and drug access programs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Texas .
- Doctor of pharmacy from accredited pharmacy program
Conditions of Employment:
- May require discipline-specific licensure and/or professional certification or accreditation, as specified by the pharmacy.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
- May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable.
- Must maintain certification status.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the company’s influenza vaccination and Covid vaccination requirements.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
