The Accounting Operations Supervisor will coordinate and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This individual will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. This role will report to the Financial Operations Director.

The Accounting Operations Supervisor will coordinate and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This individual will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance. This role will report to the Financial Operations Director.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct supervision of accounts payable process.
- Weekly review of vendor invoices processed in Concur including verification of allocations prior to general ledger integration.
- Review and approval of weekly vendor payments.
- Responsible for maintenance of vendor files.
- Administer corporate credit card program.
- Review monthly allocation of corporate credit card charges.
- Supervise and coordinate monthly claim invoice audits.
- Oversight of daily policy payment processing.
- Responsible for annual escheatment process.
- Responsible for annual 1099 filings.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Internal point of contact for banking/operations questions.
- Assist accounting team with monthly expense review and analysis.
- Assist in reconciling monthly general ledger accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- Years/Type of Experience:5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable/accounting operations with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Specific Skills: Experience with accounts payable transaction processing; strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, operate standard office equipment
- Other Required or Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Excel (required), experience with Concur (preferred), experience in insurance industry (preferred).
