Summary
Performs Inspection and Packaging technician functions. Performs reject verification functions. Performs training of inspection personnel and assists in development of inspection processes and procedures. Train in all Inspection and Packaging curriculum. Complete all reject verification documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 year’s related experience (production, manufacturing, and/or clean room experience preferred) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply basic math concepts
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and manufacturing software. As this individual will perform work within these systems on a routine basis
Other Skills And Abilities
Must pass background check
Must pass drug screen
Annual qualification for 100% manual inspection
Must pass annual eye exam
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- Performs all inspection and packaging functions when not performing reject verification or assigned tasks.
- Qualification of inspection is required per SOP
- Evaluates “Further Review” vials pulled from 100% inspection and determines if vials are defects per SOP.
- Completes documentation required to record defects (i.e. RVI form, dispositions, PBR, etc.).
- Communicates RVL results to management and elevates any issues via emails and verbal meetings.
- Communicates effectively with other departments.
- Photographs defects for photo libraries, communication, and presentations as needed.
- Trains associates on defects during online inspection and communicates trends and performance issues to the line lead and/or supervisor.
- Trains new and current associates on inspection process, qualification process, and other departmental training needs.
- Assist with the annual inspection qualification testing.
- Assist with projects to include tasks associated with the inspection process and defects.
- Assist with customer questions and discussions as needed as a specialist in Reject Identification/Classification.
- Able to present to customer or audits regarding the function and performance of a reject verifier.
- Assists with investigations and process related corrective actions.
- Promotes an environment of process improvement and creative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Assists or leads departmental projects and manages through completion.

- Meet or exceed visual acuity, depth perception and color requirements.
- Must receive passing tests results on vision, color blindness and depth perception eye exam.
- Must have clear vision: up close (20 inches or less), at distance (20 feet or more), color (ability to identify and distinguish colors), depth perception (three dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and peripheral (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or left to right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
