Position Purpose/Summary
We are seeking a Copywriter with a passion for writing to contribute to strategy, content, proofreading, editing and some administrative responsibilities of the creative department. The Copywriter should be looking to grow into a senior level copywriting position.
This role provides on-brand strategic content that aligns with the client business objectives. We want to hire someone who is excited to work in agency life and can develop best practices into your creative and technical writing. With exposure to high-level creative concepting and productions, we are looking for someone with the desire to grow with our agency.
Reports to: Senior Manager of Creative Content
Duties & Responsibilities
- Content: write clear, compelling and engaging copy for various materials, including websites, social media, e-mails, digital, print, radio and video scripts
- Editing: review and refine copy after receiving feedback internally or from a client to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines
- Proofreading: participate in internal reviews of creative work while applying client style guides and AP Stylebook best practices, strong attention to detail needed
- Agility and Flexibility: manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Content Planning: adapt writing style for different platforms, audiences and formats
- Collaboration: brainstorm and contribute new ideas for content for marketing strategies
- Creative Briefs: understand creative briefs, attend kick off meetings, take direction and deliver smart content
- Style Guides: maintain up-to-date client style guides
- Multiplatform Strategies: understand writing strategies for digital, social, web and mass media

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated talent in creative writing
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
- Four or more years professional writing experience in an agency or writing for a brand is preferred
- Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with experience in marketing/advertising copywriting, brand messaging and promotional copy
- Computer savvy with proficiency in various business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Figma
- A strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Skill in researching and working with complicated subject matter
- Exhibited strengths in communication, organization and accountability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Be an organized time-manager and problem solver

- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, advertising or marketing
