This role includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal audits, and regulatory compliance. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required due to the complexity of our production and inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight:
Manage all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash management. - Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making. - Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Track performance against financial plans and adjust projections as necessary. - Internal Controls & Compliance:
Design, implement, and enforce internal control systems. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and ethical business practices. - Cost Accounting:
Oversee cost accounting practices, including inventory management and cost of goods sold. Ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for process efficiencies. - Audit Readiness:
Coordinate external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Respond to auditor inquiries and implement audit recommendations. - Team Leadership:
Supervise accounting team members, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to align financial practices with company objectives.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Quickbooks Desktop, Invoicing Chart of Accounts, Bill Off Materials/Inventory, PO and Inventory Processing
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience conducting internal audits or working in public accounting.
