Company Overview

CURIS System LLC is a leading manufacturer and service provider in the bio-decontamination industry, delivering advanced hydrogen peroxide-based decontamination technologies. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full-time Comptroller to join our collaborative team at our Oviedo, FL headquarters. This position is critical in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our operations, particularly within our manufacturing activities.

Position Summary

The Comptroller is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring the smooth financial running of the business, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal audits, and regulatory compliance. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required due to the complexity of our production and inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight:
  Manage all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Lead the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Track performance against financial plans and adjust projections as necessary.
• Internal Controls & Compliance:
  Design, implement, and enforce internal control systems. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and ethical business practices.
• Cost Accounting:
  Oversee cost accounting practices, including inventory management and cost of goods sold. Ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for process efficiencies.
• Audit Readiness:
  Coordinate external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Respond to auditor inquiries and implement audit recommendations.
• Team Leadership:
  Supervise accounting team members, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to align financial practices with company objectives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Quickbooks Desktop, Invoicing Chart of Accounts, Bill Off Materials/Inventory, PO and Inventory Processing
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High ethical standards and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience conducting internal audits or working in public accounting.
