What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Technician position at Curlew Animal Hospital?
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist/Technician to join our team. The ideal Receptionist would be someone who is friendly, knowledgeable in Veterinary Care and can handle a fast pace environment. We are a one Doctor practice but stay very busy.
We are a small business and not to sound cliche we are more like a family than just co-workers. We work hard to find ways to work together and improve each others skill sets. We are drama free and wish to stay that way! We work hard but we enjoy what we do and are fortunate to have a really nice group of clients that trust us with their fur babies.
Duties
- Greet and welcome clients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer phones and take notes that need to be delegated to a technician.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
-Schedule Appointments for the Doctor and Technicians
- Check in clients at arrival and make notations of their questions and concerns for the days exam/visit.
- Document front office supplies that need to be ordered as they get low.
-Prep charts for the next days schedule as well as make reminder phone calls.
-Ideally we would need a receptionist that can help at time with technician work as well as weekend kennels.
Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle two phone lines that may ring at the same time
-Ability to schedule appointments
- Experience as a receptionist and/or Veterinary Technician
- Ability to document information accurately
-Ability to charge people out as well as answer the phone and greet clients
-Ability to be on your feet all day
- Proficiency in being on time for shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 33 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
