Role Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the efficient operation of our office. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The Administrative Support Specialist will interact with patients, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, contributing to the success of Currence’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries regarding their medical bills.
  • Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical, including shredding documents when necessary.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, and operate mailing equipment.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate with building management and IT service providers as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to patient statements returned for incorrect addresses.
  • Perform data entry and maintain bank deposit records for various accounts using Excel.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as required.
  • Perform light bookkeeping tasks, such as typing checks.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in office management or a related field; experience in a healthcare environment is a significant plus.
  • Proven experience as an office clerk, administrative assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook, in particular).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.77 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
