Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor provides daily oversight to our team of Accounts Receivable/Collection Specialists who are working to collect accounts receivable for Current. The Supervisor anticipates and addresses process issues, continually driving improvements to maximize AR turnover and minimize /risk of loss.
Typical Duties include:
- Supervise and lead the accounts receivable collections team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying and addressing delinquent accounts.
- Communicate with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address billing disputes and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure successful close processes, including month-end and quarter-end.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, performance metrics, and outstanding receivables to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to collections.
- Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Handle escalated collection issues and work with leadership on complex cases as needed.
- Support billing efforts as situation arise.
- Oversight to credit limits for respective portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $70,000-$80,000.
