Summary/Purpose
The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Supervisor role serves several key functions. They include supervising a team of A/R Specialists, Claims Processors and Cash Application Processors and evaluating the credit worthiness of potential customers, monitoring the aging of A/R and collecting cash due from customers.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Review credit worthiness of new and existing customer and maintain those limits within the company ERP (Oracle)
Manage staff to monitor customer account balances
Maintain acceptable DSO levels while minimizing customer outstanding past due balances
Manage staff to work with customers (both internal and external) to resolve any payment or billing disputes
Participate in projects as determined by Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have the direct supervision of up to 10 direct reports.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent supervisory skills in large, fast-paced A/R environment
Strong understanding of A/R principals
Experience in utilizing credit rating services
Ability to analyze vast amounts of data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
High level of comfort working in an environment with limited supervision
Experience working in or with large Tier I / Tier II automotive companies
General understanding of basic accounting principles a plus
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus 3-4 year of A/R supervisory experience or Associates Degree / High School Diploma plus 10 years of A/R supervisory experience in $1 billion revenue organization.

Travel by automobile and plane required less than 10% of the time.
