Strong Foundations Planning Grant - Project Manager Job Description
The Project Manager will lead the implementation of the Strong Foundations Planning Grant for K -12 math within the district. The primary responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the district and coordinate all grant-related activities with the approved provider selected from the state vendor list.
- Ensure the district meets all grant assurances, including:
- Appointing a representative committee for the collective learning series
- Facilitating the Superintendent's/CAO's participation in trainings and approval of the instructional framework
- Coordinating monthly Communities of Practice meetings with similar districts
- Submitting required data and feedback surveys to TEA
- Manage the grant timeline and ensure the district meets major milestones, such as:
- Finalizing the contract with the approved provider by May 2025
- Completing the collective learning series and roadmap by September 2025
- Finalizing the district's rmath instructional framework by December 2025
- Developing the instructional framework roll-out plan by January 2026
- Collaborate with the approved provider to plan and coordinate the collective learning series, trainings, and development of the instructional framework.
- Serve as the liaison between the district and TEA, attending check-in meetings and webinars as required.
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure funds are utilized appropriately based on allowable expenses.
- Provide regular updates to district leadership on grant progress and ensure their participation as needed.
- Prepare and submit all required grant reports and documentation to TEA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Strong project management, organization, and communication skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional frameworks, and literacy best practices
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines
- Experience with grant management or program implementation is a plus
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and development of the district's reading language arts instructional framework through the Strong Foundations grant program.
Work collaboratively with Math Coordinators to:
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to teachers in implementing effective literacy practices, including modeling lessons, observing instruction, and providing targeted feedback to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Assist in collaborative planning with teachers to develop cohesive literacy plans and implement effective implementation of district instructional frameworks, evidence based instructional strategies, and curriculum programs.
- Provide assistance with curriculum and district professional development activities to align goals and initiatives of the Math department.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
