We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team and uphold our company values: Treat People with Respect, Be Responsible and Do the Right Thing.


As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall vendor account details for current and new business development.


Essential Job Functions

Vendor Management

•Educates vendors on retailer strategies, processes, and deadlines

•Maintains high level of functional knowledge of vendors entire program, products, and services

•Manages new vendor kickoff


Meeting Management

•Prepares materials for meetings and presentations

•Attends line review and status meetings

•Provides recap of meetings


Business and Product Development

•Understands vendor and capabilities

•Identifies current and future business trends and opportunities, and have broad knowledge of retail environment

•Implements and manages business development initiatives and processes

•Communicates product development and current assortments; develop and/or recommend product assortments

•Initiates and manages owned-brand artwork and packaging artwork process


Promotions

•Strategizes and plans promotions with vendor and buyers

•Manages promotional submission process

•Partners with Analyst to forecast promotional lifts


Other

•Performs miscellaneous tasks as required

•Upholds Curry Sales vision and company values

•Local and domestic travel required


Minimum Job Requirements

Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within a retail setting

Exercises proven solid judgment

Account and project management skills and knowledge; strategic planning skills

Builds and maintains internal and external relationships

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to message appropriately

Organized, able to prioritize, and pay attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously effectively

Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a balance of creative and math skills

Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others, yet able to work independently

Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

Secondary degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

At least 5 years of related experience in retail and/or CPG environment, Target experience preferred

Proficient in MS Windows, Office Products, Adobe PDF; MS Excel expertise required
