JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for oversight of the BHSA Prevention and Early Intervention Program and the Drop-In-Center. This role is also responsible for connecting with community partners, and participating in regular training.
DEFINITION OF A PEER:
A person with lived experience navigating the behavioral health system of San Francisco either through their own journey of wellness and recovery, or having been supportive of a friend, loved one, or family member in their wellness and recovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations of departments.
- Practice and reinforce the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and orient all direct reports.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Provide initial and ongoing training to team members.
- Assign duties and work schedules to direct reports and provide on-site guidance on established procedures.
- Review and approve timecards, including time off requests. Make appropriate edits, when needed.
- Monitor overtime, doubletime, and missed meal breaks. If abuse is apparent, meet with employee(s) to discuss. If abuse continues, work with HR for disciplinary actions.
- Maintain job descriptions and evaluation criteria for all direct reports and conduct formal written evaluations, using the appropriate tools provided by HR.
- Provide support, direction, and leadership to team members and assist them with any questions or problems.
- Address any performance problems and, if necessary, handle terminations in accordance with established company guidelines.
- Resolve conflicts in a timely manner with the consultation and support of HR.
- Maintain OSHA standards.
- Responsible for the collection of data and reporting via various software programs.
- Hold and facilitate regular team meetings.
- Attend required meetings.
- Oversee program budget and ensure that projects are completed on time and in budget.
- Provide solutions to issues that develop.
- Assist in the completion of grant applications, RFP’s and RFQ’s.
- Develop training curriculum integrating feedback from all parties involved.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships.
- Develop programs that meet individual needs of the client(s).
- Develop programs that assist the client(s) in advocating for themselves and meet their goals for recovery and make connections outside of the mental health system.
- Develop programs that assist clients in obtaining housing and volunteer roles that assist them in having a meaningful role in the community.
- Develop and maintain a regular schedule of daily program activities.
- Manage and analyze data and provide insight on the impacts of program(s).
- Participate in the development of the program(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in psychology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory role.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with socially isolated seniors experiencing poverty, homelessness, mental health issues, drug abuse, and health problem related issues.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with community program management.
- Working knowledge of the peer service model.
- Working knowledge of procedures, laws and regulations relevant to case management and behavioral health programs.
- Familiarity with harm reduction and applications.
- Proof of Covid Vaccines required: completed original series and first booster.
- Proof of negative or inactive TB required. Curry Senior Center will provide or reimburse for the cost of a TB test after an offer of employment has been accepted by both parties. Proof of a negative TB test within 90 days will also be accepted.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work will be performed sitting at a desk/chair or standing while speaking and interacting with clients. Position will require average finger dexterity to operate normal office equipment and systems.
