RESPONSIBILITIES/GOALS:
• Assist Curtin Maritime and employees to more easily fulfill our core values: integrity, innovation and efficiency
• Assist in the planning and execution of operational activities
• Aid the operations team in administrative tasks, vessel compliance, and vessel preparation and maintenance
• Lead in the creation, documentation, and distribution of processes throughout the company
• Being an expert in and assisting in the operational software (HELM Connect).
• Maintaining training for crews on operational systems (HELM Connect).
• Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of operational software used in marine operations.
• Ensure software solutions align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximize software adoption and effectiveness.
• Work closely with vessel operators, fleet managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of software’s.
• Function as a liaison between technical teams and operational staff to address concerns and gather feedback
TASKS AND DUTIES:
• Lead in verifying Helm information on existing vessels
• Work with crew, gather information and assist in new vessel buildouts in Helm
• Generate documentation and inspections in Helm Connect
• Generate easy to understand SOPs for processes and distribute them
• Assist day to day operations by preforming administrative tasks
• Duties as assigned by Operations and VP of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND APTITUDES REQUIRED:
• Maritime industry experience desired, interest in maritime activities preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC and MMC
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required
• Ability to travel for brief periods of time.

• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to get along with office staff and vessel crew members.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
• Confidence to initiate correspondence with crew members and staff.
• Must always follow all Company and United States Coast guard rules and regulations.
• Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
Physical Aptitudes
• Must meet "fit for duty" requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test)
• The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces.
• Ability to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel.
• Ability to stand and walk on nearly a constant basis; ability to work long hours each day.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work when exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially hazardous equipment.
