Responsibilities

  • Travel to Individuals and businesses to sell equipment in defined sales area
  • Look over customer’s existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements
  • Provide competitive information such as price quotes, and bundling with attachments in order to establish negotiated pricing.
  • Perform product demonstrations and support
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks to customers in store or on phone
  • Take orders and deliver products and estimate date of delivery to customer
  • Arrange for repairs as needed
  • Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales inventory
  • Develop a call list and maintain information monthly
  • Review sales reports
  • Track and turn in gas and product receipts as expense report
  • Must learn POS systems
  • Maintain product knowledge on the features and benefits of equipment for sale and rental at the dealership. Knowledge of products related to the New Holland and Bobcat brands required.
  • Analyze sales opportunities, solve customer problems, and participate in sales promotions.
  • Monitor competitive activity and products
  • Maintain customer data
  • Understand the various financing options that of into the sale of new and used equipment.
  • Attend sales events including training, meetings, and seminars related to the industry
  • Maintain a professional Image


Requirements

  

· Must possess excellent communications (verbal, listening, written and presentation and collaboration) and excellent customer service skills

· Must have prior customer service and sales experience (minimum of 1 year); prior equipment sales highly desirable

· Must successfully demonstrate prior experience developing and building business/customer relationships

· Must have high aptitude for learning and development

· Must successfully demonstrate ability to anticipate concerns, troubleshoot and resolve to complete satisfaction

· Must successfully demonstrate collaborative and positive approach with team and customers

· Must demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail

· Must successfully demonstrate ability to prioritize and perform efficiently

· Must pose high level of confidence and transparency in sharing knowledge, advice to customers regarding their options

· Must possesses and successfully demonstrate ability to adapt to new information or changes and creates processes and systems to improve workflows.

· Must be comfortable with ambiguous information and must demonstrate confidence in handling and resolving conflict

· Prior experience with scheduling, problem solving and service recovery highly desirable


  

Physical/Sensory Needs:

May lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs at a time frequently, using assistance as needed. Requires walking, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, using required safety measures. Uses keyboards, monitors, and computers, phones, copy machines and other business equipment as well as some basic tools/machinery requiring vision, listening, mathematical aptitude also hand/eye coordination and finger hand dexterity as well as use of legs, feet, arms, hands, fingers in operating machinery. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as well as remain comfortable sitting in/driving vehicles for extended periods; standing may be necessary for up to 100% of work schedule with occasional breaks.
