Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. Responsibilities
- Manage the parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely procurement of parts.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure all parts are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Collaborate with the service department to understand parts needs for ongoing equipment repair.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries regarding parts availability, pricing, and specifications.
- Develop relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules.
- Implement effective logistics strategies to streamline the movement of parts within the organization.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a parts management role or similar position within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and CMMS software.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics management, including shipping and receiving procedures.
