About the Role
As a Heavy Component Manufacturing Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating top problematic weld joints at EMD and resolving issues through design, manufacturing, and implementation of improved weld fixtures/tooling.
You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to improve manufacturing steps before, during, and after welding operations to mitigate processing issues that negatively affect welding. Additionally, you will create drawings for procedural qualification, personnel qualifications, and mockups.
A master's degree in Technical Engineering Specialty is highly desirable, and prior experience with Nuclear, Defense, or Power Generation experience with rotating machinery is a plus.
