Manufacturing Tech - Mechanic

Job Summary:
The Mechanic performs overhaul repairs in accordance with the overhaul manuals, Curtiss-Wright Specifications, and customer requests, including basic inspection techniques (micrometers, calipers). Teardown, assemble, inspect, fit parts, troubleshoot assemblies and parts, operate testing equipment and record test results. Assists and instructs others in assigned area in proper procedures of overhauls and repairs, and testing.
Your Challenges
- Teardown units and conduct visual and dimensional inspections.
- Set up and operate all test equipment.
- Select proper tooling, fixtures, and gages.
- Perform tests and record results.
- Fit and assemble component parts to overhaul manuals, Curtiss-Wright specification, and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose.
- Works with and handles hazardous materials and waste at worksite located in Assembly. Responsible for proper handling of Hazardous Waste within this area.
- Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.
- Maintain an acceptable quality and efficiency level.
- Maintain effectiveness in different assembly programs with regard to productivity, quality, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required by the department Manager.
Your Expertise:
- High school degree or equivalent, Technical/Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret overhaul manuals and process worksheets.
- Ability to set up and operate assigned machines and equipment.
