Senior Quality Specialist

We have a great opportunity! We are looking for a Senior Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Monsey, NY

As our Senior Quality Control Inspector, you will provide quality assurance support to the product development team, by checking units as they go through manufacturing and completing final stage inspections.

You will identify technical issues and get to the root causes and proactively recommend effective solutions to resolve defects and help to improve product durability and overall performance of all electro-mechanical assemblies such as electronics enclosures and consoles for the Defense Industry.

Location : Monsey, NY

Salary Information : $23.89 - $40.00 per hour

Your Challenge :

• Pull drawings per piece parts and pull drawings for final assembly.
• Ability to read drawings and Inspect parts and assemblies per drawings.
• Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
• Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work. Document, update and maintain quality inspection records by completing reports and logs.
• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to both Quality Control Manager and Production Managers.
• Maintain safe work environment by following quality standards and procedures and ensure compliance with legal regulations : such as AS-9100 and other MIL Standards as required.
• Coach and mentor new employees in the department as part of enhancing their opportunities to grow leadership in others.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
• Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed. Maintain expired goods database.
• Maintain tooling calibration logs which includes performing calibration or scheduling calibration with external service providers.
