Qualifications* you will bring to the table:

• NAAB-accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree
• 15 years job-related work experience with demonstrated competence
• Current architect license/registration
• Accreditation, or demonstrated knowledge/experience, in sustainability certification programs
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Project Management Software, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and communication
• High level of problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in collaboration and communication with team members
• Deep knowledge of jurisdictional and project specific requirements including building codes, sustainability and energy requirements
• Has led client and consultant teams through the design process from schematic design through construction administration for a wide variety of commercial ground-up construction projects.
• Technical knowledge of, and has led client and design teams through the selection and design of a wide variety of construction types, systems and assemblies in varying climates.
• Demonstrated experience leading the development of project manuals and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated experience in envelope detailing across a wide variety of construction types, materials, and in varying climates.
• Demonstrated experience in guiding a project team through quality control processes.
• Subject area expertise, and/or programming experience, is a bonus.

As a Team Member at Cushing Terrell, you will*…

• Work directly with principal-in-charge and design leadership in creating functional, contextual and user-centered projects with regard to design documentation, specifications, material detailing, equipment and estimated costs;
• Responsible for leading team in preparing necessary information for client review and approval
• Perform necessary technical research in the design, permitting and bidding of complete projects
• Responsible in guiding design team in preparing construction cost estimates
• Responsible in guiding design team in preparing contract documents for building contractors
• Provide expert knowledge of code and jurisdictional process on projects
• Perform reviews of all discipline’s drawings on projects and prepare feedback for the project team
• Responsible in guiding design team in the inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with specifications, approves quality of materials and work, and advises client and construction teams
• Responsible in guiding design team in the administration of construction contracts on projects including administration of addenda, substitutions, change orders, and submittal reviews
• Direct activities of other architectural team members engaged in projects
• Seal and sign permit documents
• May have supervisory responsibilities including training, assigning and directing work, reviewing performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
• Carry out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Participate in the identification of new business opportunities and building new client relationships

*The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.

The salary for this position is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.

• Expected Range*: $105,000 to $130,000
• The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus

*The actual salary offered for the role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to; years of experience, certifications, location, level of job-related knowledge, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law).
