Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components.
- Repairs: Address and resolve issues related to appliances, building finishes, fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, and other common areas of residential properties.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and repair complex issues across various trades, including plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, and HVAC system failures.
- Aesthetic Upkeep: Conduct painting, drywall repair, and carpentry tasks to maintain or improve the appearance of the properties.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and installations meet safety and code requirements.
- Emergency Response: Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with property management, vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment, and follow all C&W Services and site-specific health and safety rules and regulations.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in residential settings.
- Proficiency in multiple trades, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing (repairs, installations, and troubleshooting)
- Electrical (wiring, outlets, lighting)
- HVAC (basic diagnostics and repairs)
- Carpentry (framing, repairs, and custom work)
- Painting and drywall repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and team members professionally.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
- Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on a revolving on call schedule.
