Job Description :
The Quality Coordinator assists the Quality Assurance department with Administrative and inspection tasks, including preparing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), scanning job travelers and build documentation, conducting shop floor audits, and handling general administrative duties. This role involves interacting with internal and external customers during audits and requires strong attention to detail to ensure accurate report generation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare First Article Inspection (FAIR) and Last Article Inspection (LAIR) reports per AS9102 and customer requirements.
- Create complete FAIR submission packages using Net-Inspect for customer submission.
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
- Retrieve and verify material and process certifications against drawing and specification requirements for accuracy and completeness.
- Bubble drawings using first-article inspection software such as 1factory, InspectionXpert or Discus.
- Perform shop floor audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Scan, organize, and maintain inspection department records and job travelers.
- Administer and track Customer Returns (RMA log & tracking).
- Investigate and process warranty claims, ensuring timely resolution per contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Design, and Quality Engineers to resolve quality issues.
- Perform all work per established standards and safety procedures.
- Support internal and external quality audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
