What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Custom Dredge Works, Inc?
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer. The Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager, will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations. A great quality manager is thorough and observant with an eye for detail. They must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition. The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.
Essential Job Functions
- Certified Weld Inspector
- Develop and maintain systems to establish standards related to Quality Control activities and products, and measures performance against established standards.
- Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
- Effectively communicate and resolve issues arising out of the production processes, as related to quality, across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain all project related inspection documentation, and monitor adherence to standards and actively checks for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on.
- Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities as it applies to specific processes.
- Ensures that the Company and Employees maintain appropriate certifications and maintains records of them.
- Performs internal and external inspections to determine if welded products and structures meet the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document.
- Compiles and submits completed inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Maintains the Inspection Folder.
- Research and development for new welding processes to help create efficiency with the weld program.
- Educate welders on technique.
- Attend career fairs and help with recruiting processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
