Overview
The Pathology Assistant plays a critical role in the clinical laboratory setting, providing support to pathologists and ensuring the efficient processing of specimens. Duties
- Assist pathologists in the examination and diagnosis of tissue specimens.
- Perform specimen collection and processing, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols.
- Utilize laboratory techniques to prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of specimens and laboratory results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures as needed for specimen collection.
- Uphold safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory environment.
- Stay informed about current laboratory procedures and medical terminology.

Qualifications:Required:
- One year in health sciences
- Bachelor Degree
- One of: PATHA or MD Incumbents with no active MD licensure must obtain Pathologists Assistant (ASCP) (PATHA) credential within one year of hire.
Desired:
- Master Degree; Doctorate Degree
- Medical Doctor OR Pathologists Assistant (ASCP)
This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our pathology department, contributing significantly to patient diagnosis and treatment.

Pay: $64.79 - $69.27 per hour
