Custom House, a beloved local gem with a rich history in Avila Beach, is undergoing an exciting refresh, and we’re looking to build a strong, passionate team to help relaunch our restaurant in early March. We are hiring for the following positions:

• Expos
• Cashiers
• Bartenders

With a historical presence in Avila Beach, we are excited to modernize our space while maintaining the charm that our loyal guests love. As we prepare to reopen, we are searching for energetic, reliable, and service-oriented individuals who will play a key role in shaping the guest experience at our restaurant.

Key Dates:

• Training begins: Around the last week of February
• Grand Reopening: Early March

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about hospitality and dedicated to providing the best possible service. As a counter-service restaurant, we rely on all team members to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience. Whether you're helping guests at the counter, assisting with food delivery, or crafting drinks at the bar, your role is essential in making each visit special.

Responsibilities:

• Expos: Manage the food orders from the kitchen to the counter, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to guests. Help with food pickup and ensure guests have everything they need.
• Cashiers: Process guest orders at the counter, manage orders and payments accurately, assist with food pickup, and ensure guests are satisfied.
• Bartenders: Craft creative cocktails and serve beverages to guests at the bar, provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean bar area, and create a welcoming environment. Note: Bartenders will be subject to a background check.

• Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus, but not required for all positions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs unassisted and be on your feet for extended periods of time (for all positions)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handlers certificate (The Custom House will assist with this process)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a RBS certificate (The Custom House will assist with this process)
