We have an opening for an experienced Medical Editor. This is a Temp to Perm position with full time hours.

Responsibilities include :

Proofreading and editing medical / scientific-related scripts, storyboards, print layouts, and multimedia presentations to ensure their correctness, clarity, and quality
Apply style and preferences specific to each client or project and avoid inappropriate cross-pollination of styles
Review documents for adherence to formatting and style and maintain consistency across multiple deliverables
Perform quality check of eLearning, mobile applications, workshops, and print modules
Prepare bibliographies and QC references to ensure accuracy and preferred client reference citation style
Maintain internal database for all journal and textbook references in EndNote
Create and update client specific wordlist / style guidelines
Upload documents to clients’ electronic referencing systems

Requirements :

BA / BS in English or related subject matter; or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years experience as an editor

Advanced knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules; expertise in AMA Manual of Style , 11th edition is preferred

Keen attention to detail and commitment to high quality

Highly organized with ability to prioritize and work efficiently to meet tight deadlines

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (PC)

Experience using databases a plus
