CMD, a Velosity Company is searching for a Quality/CMM Technician on 1st shift to support our Forest Lake, MN location. The Quality/CMM Tech is r esponsible for understanding, communicating, and verifying conformance to internal and external quality standards.
This is an on-site position.
The typical pay range for this role: $27.81-$41.71
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors.

Work Environment

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed shoes are also required in certain locations.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- Preferred 3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming and operating CMM's using PC-DMIS is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills; effective business correspondence and reporting; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems, acute eye for details during inspections.
- Understanding of modern manufacturing processes; knowledge of systems implementation including ISO 9001 and AS9100 preferred; experience with basic and advanced measurement tools (OGP, Trimos, tool scopes, etc.); knowledge of blue print reading / GDT; an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.
- Work cooperatively with all employees.
- Program and operate CMM - previous experience required
- Initiate, perform and maintain inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspections.
- Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
- Investigate and determine cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process.
- Assist in the handling and documentation of nonconforming product.
- Assist in maintaining the calibration system.
- Performs all other assignments as required.
