Company Description
Custom Processing Services provides contract manufacturing/toll processing services to a wide variety of industries. Specialized processes center on particle size reduction using a number of methods including jaw crushing, pulverizing, micronizing and media milling. Additional services such as flash drying, surface treatments, blending, dispersing and packaging are also available. The Processing Pros provide new product development assistance from R&D concepts through their commercialization. In addition to CPS's technical grade facilities, a state-of-the art, dedicated building is available for cGMP processing.
Job Description
The Quality Technician plays a vital role in the production flow and achieving on time availability for customers. This is a hands on role that requires product testing, documentation review and creation, and professional, detailed communication with customers and internal associates.
Shift:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Monday, 5:00am to 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Assure that manufactured products meet customer requirements by testing and analyzing production and post-production samples and reporting findings to team members.
- Analyze non-conforming materials, returned goods and communicate results to management.
- Create suitable data analysis tables and reports.
- Provide analytical investigations and develop root cause for non-conformances and deviations.
- Operate gauging and test equipment for quality assurance functions.
- Analyze data and generate summary reports.
- Assist in the performance of qualification and validation studies.
- Prepare samples for shipment to customers.
- Review incoming receipts and perform product releases per requirements.
- Perform inspections; Assist on special projects.
- Communicate results of inspections; quality related issues with appropriate team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; or equivalent experience required
- Proficient in MS Office
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience working in an ISO certified organization preferred
- Experience initiating, executing, and resolving action requests utilizing various methods of root cause analysis
- Detail oriented, problem solver
- Must be willing to work at both campuses as needed
- Must be flexible in hours to support needs of the operation
