ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shop Tech services, dismantles, inspects, repairs, and troubleshoots pumps, and also builds lift stations used in the water and wastewater industry. The services we provide are critical for municipalities and end-users alike, with tight deadlines, challenging mechanical problems, and an emphasis on going above and beyond for our customers.
Responsibilities:
· Repair and adjust pump equipment in the shop as needed.
· Fabricate and build lift stations and lift station components.
· Load and unload equipment for customers
· Use mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshoot and repair down equipment.
· Dismantle and inspect pumps, checking dimensions of components.
· Coordinate effectively in a team, discussing repair recommendations and resolving problems with supervisor.
· Comply with Company policies and procedures
· Enforces all company AND client required safety policies and procedures
· Perform other duties assigned as needed
Competencies:
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
· Have a positive attitude that contributes to teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving, and continuous improvements.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Must be willing to work in the field.
· Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice
· Ability to read and interpret drawings / charts.
· Standing for long times required, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Demonstrate the ability to reach, work with hands and arms in various positions, stoop, and move under and around equipment.
· Must speak and communicate ideas clearly, read with understanding, and write good paragraphs describing equipment.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
