Join Custom Wood Products as a Custom Finish Technician. In this role you will assist in the creation of custom wood cabinets following the shop drawings, and this position will specifically be responsible for learning and perfecting finish processes to include dry brush, burnishing, and glazing.
There is never a dull moment, as each cabinet is custom. Attention to detail, cabinet construction knowledge, professionalism and quick thinking are essential.
Essential Functions:
- Sands, wipes and sprays commercial finish products for high quality finish according to project specifications.
- Applies specialty finish processes to custom cabinets to include: dry brushing, burnishing, and glazing.
- Reads and interprets shop drawings
- Prepares and loads cabinets to next phase in production.
- Operates shop computers and software.
- Adheres to safety protocols and conducts work in safe manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with finish work, artistic fine detailed work, etc.
- Must be able to operate woodworking machinery, equipment and hand tools
- Ability to read/interpret shop drawings, and utilize and read tape measure
- Must have keen eye for detail and producing high quality products (free of defects/errors)
- Ability to identify multiple species of wood
