Female PCA - Flexible Part Time Schedule

Duties:

• Assist the client with daily bathing or showering, ensuring any necessary support and safety precautions are taken. (Note: Options available based on the level of independence.)
• Provide assistance with washing and moisturizing as needed. Be vigilant for any skin changes and alert the responsible party when necessary.
• Help the client with brushing teeth/dentures and nail care, offering assistance as required.
• Assist the client with dressing and undressing, providing full support if needed.
• Help the client transfer from one position to another, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
• Regularly reposition the client in bed or wheelchair to prevent pressure sores and ensure comfort.
• Provide support with walking or movement, using mobility aids if necessary.
• Prepare and assist the client with meals, ensuring proper nutrition and support during eating.
• Assist with drinking, ensuring the client remains hydrated throughout the day.
• Assist the client with toileting needs, whether it involves reminders, support, or full assistance with incontinence care.
• Maintain hygiene standards by washing hands before meals and using gloves when handling bodily fluids or cleaning.
• Assist with light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dishes, or general tidying as directed by the client or their responsible party.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Understanding of working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Additional Skills:

• Availability to provide services as needed (PRN).
• Flexibility to work with varying schedules and assist with backup staffing needs if necessary.
• Understanding of various body systems and their functions
• Proficient in taking vital signs and documenting them accurately
