We are looking for a talented and experienced Bar Manager to join our team to help build and lead our dynamic bar program.
Position Overview:
The Bar Manager will be responsible for creating and managing an elevated cocktail menu that blends the timeless sophistication of Prohibition-style drinks with creative wood-fired elements. As a key leader in the front-of-house team, the Bar Manager will oversee the bar’s day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and customer experience. This role requires someone who is passionate about mixology, leadership, and creating an unforgettable drinking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a craft cocktail menu that incorporates or complements wood-fired elements, with an emphasis on creative, Prohibition-era inspired drinks.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Train, motivate, and lead bar staff, ensuring they provide exceptional service and uphold the restaurant’s standards.
- Develop and implement seasonal cocktail specials that align with the restaurant’s culinary offerings.
- Ensure proper upkeep of bar equipment, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to pair cocktails with menu items, emphasizing or complementing wood-fired flavors.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked bar environment.
- Handle customer feedback, resolve issues, and create a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for guests.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging mixology techniques.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a bar manager or senior bartender, with a strong background in craft cocktails and bar operations.
- Proven expertise in creating unique and complex cocktail menus, with experience in wood-fired or smoked cocktails a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and cocktails, with a passion for the art of mixology.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- A commitment to exceptional service and attention to detail.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any necessary certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).
