What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Laborer position at Cutting Edge Landscape?
Employee will be responsible for operating landscape equipment including walk behind and riding lawn mowers and 2 cycle equipment such as string trimmers, stick edgers, gas shears, back pack blowers ect. A daily routine consists of basic commercial and residential landscape maintenance services such as mowing grass, string trimming around mulch beds, stick edging walkways and curblines, removing weeds from mulch beds and the clearing of residual landscape debris from walkways and driveways. Empl0yee may be asked to water flowers at commercial sites as well as some additional detail work while on watering runs. Employee will be required to lift up to 50 lbs. In the fall, daily routine transitions into leaf removal and cutbacks/pruning of specific plant material. During the winter months snow removal will be performed as needed to commercial properties until transitioning back into mulch installation services as spring approaches with the use of bed edgers and hand tools as well as installing flowers/shrubs/trees when temperatures accommodate such services. DOT certification or willingness to obtain DOT certification is required. This is a labor-intensive position.
