Job Purpose
- The Project Manager Information Technology II will oversee and manage IT projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery. The role involves directing and monitoring project work, supporting business planning requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet project goals. This position requires a strong background in telephony and network infrastructure, with a preference for Avaya proficiency, and mandatory experience in healthcare IT.
- Determine user demands, establish work priorities, and plan project activities under the direction of senior personnel.
- Support business planning requirements related to Information Systems, including budgeting, scheduling, and workload planning.
- Maintain and report on project issues, progress of critical path items, project status, and accomplishments to IS management and local steering teams.
- Gather and evaluate information concerning user needs, estimate and schedule project activities and associated costs.
- Coordinate and participate in analysis, design, and coding activities, ensuring system changes are fully tested.
- Ensure users are fully trained and prepared for system changes and that all guideline and procedure requirements are met.
- Coordinate the implementation of system changes.
- Use Microsoft Project, Service Now, Excel, and SharePoint to manage and document project activities.
- 4 years of experience in IT project management.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Experience in healthcare IT is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Avaya or familiarity with another vendor.
- Experience with telephony and network infrastructure.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Project, Service Now, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions using experience and judgement.
